Alabama's Elementary Teacher of the Year Visits

Mrs. Shannon Finley, Alabama's Elementary Teacher of the Year reads to Miss Battiste's class.

On October 8th, all of our kindergarten students were vistied by three very special guests: Mrs. Sue Luckey from Pearson Learning, Mrs. Diane Allgood of MCPSS Curriculum & Instruction and Mrs. Shannon Finley, Alabama's Teacher of the Year. Our guests came to help our kindergarten students participate in the International Jumpstart Read for the Record Day sponsored in part by Pearson and Wal Mart. Students were treated to The Very Hungry Caterpillar as read by our guests.
